As someone who's gender is hidden, I can say that hiding it is not something I did without thought. I've shown a label in the past, and that actually sometimes feels like I'm deceiving people more than being just leaving it blank and letting them read my featured story or about me.

Honestly, none of the labels really fits, and all carry baggage.
