I just got here and I've already had someone harass me, flinging insults at me in my inbox and then block me.

What she said doesn't bother me, she's just some silly random after all but what does bother me is that people think that's perfectly fine behavior.

I'll stick around and find out but if it's always like that here, then this place isn't for me.

There's some folks who assume every new user is a fake account of various people already here. There's also some folks who randomly message anyone with an F tag for perverse reasons.

If you can survive those long enough to interact with the more sincere people around, then you'll be fine here.
