What if they just don't see your message?

Sending a DM or following someone doesn’t obligate them to respond. Plus, they may be busy, on vacation, taking a break from SW, (God forbid) dead, or…they may just be overwhelmed and at a loss of words at the moment.

Expecting an instant reply is pretty entitled and petty.

I have first noticed requests months - even years - after they were sent. It's nothing personal.

It's like calling out to someone in a noisy crowd. Maybe they heard you, maybe they didn't.

I get requests from what appear to be fake or sleazy accounts, so I do not respond. And in time, many of them get suspended.

I dont PM often, and there are NO notifications sent for requests. So unless I get a notification for a message I wont go into my mailbox, therefoe wont see them for a while.

I could never figure that out. They make you a friend and just say" hello" or if you chat with them it's just one way.

The problem with requests is that, you don't get a notification that you have a request, unless you actually click on the envelope icon.

If someone sends a PM, you'll get a yellow 1, next to the envelope icon. But if I am sent a request, nothing shows up on the main screen. I would have to click on the envelope icon to see that I have a request.

I did not notice I had any requests until someone mentioned it on here and by then out of 44 or 45 requests I only 2 people I could answer back to.
