Totally new to this site. And kind of disturbed by it already. This is the first thing I saw, at the top of the list, after I logged in ...
I mean ... 😳
On a more serious note. I'm in my last year of college. One of the fortunate ones to already have an amazing job, that I've been working at for about 6 months now. Just here to see what this site is about. So, any experienced members want to provide any guidance on what's kosher here, and what isn't. I'd really appreciate it.
Besides that, ask anything that you want to. If I feel like it, I'll answer. 😁

There was a famous site prior to this one, called EP, and the suicidal people were there every single day. It's usually a cry for attention. If someone had not provided that person with a suicide hotline number, I used to go onto the post and provide it and recommend that they call, because even though that person is probably just wishing for attention and for someone to talk to on a website where they are usually ignored, there is always that tiny chance that the problem is real.
I think that understanding the cries for attention here make them less disturbing in some ways.
@remindjeff Yes, and that is probably because suicide hotline numbers are different, depending on your country of origin, and even what part of the USA you live in. They probably have a master list.
