muslilm women don't have rights ! is this true ? here is the truth

In the 10th century, a Muslim woman named Maryam al-Ijliya, also known as Mariam al Astrulabi, took the craft of building astrolabes to the next level. An astrolabe is an ancient device used to measure time and the position of the sun and stars.

Mariam is known for her academic brilliance and an exceptionally focused mind that lay the foundation for managing the transportation and communication using astrolabes.

This impressed Sayf Al Dawla, the founder of the Emirate of Aleppo that encompassed most of northern Syria and parts of western Jazira.Al Dawla found Mariam’s works very intricate and innovative. As her fame started to grow, he decided to employ her in the court in Aleppo. Besides this. she also helped develop navigation and timekeeping techniques during that time.

The significant contributions of Mariam in astronomy were officially recognised when the main-belt asteroid, 7060 Al-Ijliyye, was named after her following the discovery of Henry E. Holt at Palomar Observatory in 1990
It is imperative to note that the astrolabe was invented by the Greeks who used it to measure the latitude

Muslim women, like any women or any men, have the "rights" the society they live in allows them. Right wing, conservative and ultra-religious societies tend to curtail women's rights more than men's rights, but it all depends on the society.
They don’t, unless they live in non-traditional settings. Or they’re okay with restrictions.

One of my friends, a classmate from college, married another classmate of ours who is an atheist. They accept each other and have been happy together for the past 45 years. She left her home country to come live in the U.S. but is still Muslim—on her own terms.

She told me years ago that she could never have married a traditional Muslim man and enjoyed her life, as she does with her husband. 😊

What do the contributions of a Muslim woman to the astrolabe have to do with the rights of Muslim women?

Did you copy and paste the wrong text into this post???

@SumKindaMunster A woman living in a predominantly Islamic country had the resources and intellectual freedom to pursue scientific research that in much of contemporary Christendom would have seen her condemned and punished for witchcraft. Context and understanding is everything.

@SunshineGirl exactly, they even accuse you to be brainless

@SunshineGirl If context and understanding is "everything" then the title should have been:

A woman didn't have rights, is this true? Here is the truth.

It indicates that "women" didn't have rights, not a singular woman.
By your logic, because Marie Curie existed, sexism never existed. Nice rage bait bro…

The story of that ONE woman Im sure does not translate to the experience of millions of oppressed Muslim women around the world.

7th century muslim women were allowed to file for divorce, whereas that was only a law in england in 1857
