@Harriet03 this poor kid had her first baby at 15 using pregnancy Medicaid. She is perfectly fine with the public paying for medical care when it's something she approves of.

What about anti natalists like myself? I am morally outraged (not like, a Lot because otherwise I would go crazy) by every birth but you don't see me trying to legislate people's medical decisions.

All humans are sapient. All sapient beings suffer, without exception. Humans who don't exist don't suffer.

Then there is the environmental impact first world babies have on the environment. The first year or two creates a mountain of waste and pumps something like 9 tonnes of CO2 into the air.

Then there is the fact there are too many people on earth and not enough people taking care of them. Until we can take care of the children who already exist we have no right to have more. It's the same reasoning we use to educate people to adopt dogs rather than buy from a breeder.

Those are my main 3 reasons.

The fourth is more selfish: I don't want to have babies and I think pregnancy is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard of. It seriously grosses me out.
