@SW-User yep, that's the way to do it! Stay away from 50% of the population. Keep to yourself. Close yourself down instead of learning to navigate, socially, when you're still young. That sounds very mentally healthy and a surefire way to make your life better 👎

nope.. seen too many childish immature women out there now.. things are different than they use to be. social media has made things a lot more worse and made people hahave a lot more worse. its rare for me to have feelings for anyone. but it sure seems like most girls now a days just fool around as culture has changed.

@SW-User That's actually why you're miserable. Look how long you've closed your emotional self down. I've noticed the change for quite some time in your personality. It's taken a dive to the negative side, big time. This will seem awfully rude to you, but a real friend will tell you the truth. Human beings are meant to be social beings. It helps with emotional stability. Something in you is making you shut yourself off more and more from people. As a result, you've changed and are so much more negative and anti-social. You're hurts seem to have taken control of you, and you've shut people out for way too long. A man your age should be wanting a sweetheart and that closeness and affection, and to go out and have fun and laugh. Yes, you've been hurt. I'm sorry for that. That's life and so have we all. You need so much more than your own company. Aloneness changes us if it's too extreme. It reminds me of that song, [i]Sound of Silence[/i], where it starts out [i]Hello darkness, my old friend....[/i] It's not a friend. It lonely, and something you've become too comfortable with. It's not healthy to shut yourself off from society for all these years. You honestly need to change things up and live!! You're not living. You're hiding. I don't want to see you waste your life on regrets, and end up a crabby old man all alone in the middle of nowhere at 89. I know I've said too much, and you may be madder than a wet hen at me, but it needed to be said. That's what friends do. I've watched you spiral down way too long, and that's what we're here for...to listen and help each other out. You've been alone way too long, and this is the outcome of it. You'll have to think about it. No one can do it for you. Things you've clung to all these years haven't loved you back. They're not human companionship and they'll never take the place of someone to hold. And the girl that you're clinging to is in the past. You're living in the dead past. It will never make you feel alive. Please release yourself from it and start living life. It can be done. It's how bad you want it. It's never too late.

@LadyGrace nope, he's right. There isn't anyone mature or adult enough. None of this is his fault. Society and the culture has changed. Everyone is against him. Girls really do want to fool around - they're every bit as bad as guys. He's turning his back on the cruel, uncaring world, and teaching us all a lesson!

@damselfly Not all are bad. I feel that's a negative attitude to take on life. Not everyone is against him. That's unrealistic. Girls and guys alike just want to fool around, but not all. There's good ones out there, but one has to look. Life is what one makes it, and more importantly, attitude. If everyone developed a poor me attitude, none of us would be happy.
