Do the people who say "never say never" not understand that they just said never twice?

Yes, but never say never is really another way of saying that anything is possible and don't underestimate things/people. Anything can happen. If you say never it will probably happen anyway. They're telling "you" to never say never. Saying that saying isn't saying it. Confusing? I know, but that's the best way that I can explain it. :)
