Is cannibalism morally wrong?

Not talking about murdering someone and eating them necessarily.
There are for instance examples of two consenting adults who agree to eat and be eaten respectively.
So is cannibalism itself morally wrong?

The last thing I want to think about when sitting next to a complete stranger and look at me as I am some dish. ugh! I am glad its morally wrong where I lived. I hear some parts of the world in indigenous tribes its common. I sure want to avoid venturing travel out there.lol

Well murder would be wrong whether cannibalism is involved or not.
But what about ritual cannibalism like in some funeral traditions. Is that morally wrong?
@MetalGreymon I gave my opinion. I am not interested in ritualistic traditions elsewhwere. Since I was raised to believe it's morally wrong, I can't answer that.

Well at another time in history it was morally right to own humans as property. More recently it was morally wrong (and still is to certain religious people) for homosexuals to have the same rights as everyone else.

When we look at morals, we have to go beyond our personal ethnocentric biases and examine what is actually good and bad. We have to look for the harm.

So where is the harm in cannibalism?
@MetalGreymon Well you didn't ask about time frame. You ask me if it was morally wrong and I told you. You can point out all the history you want, but we live in the NOW and I am glad not to be in those times.lol

Well sure. But now, given that assertion, i'm asking you WHY it is morally wrong.
I don't find it intellectually satisfying to say "it's definitely wrong because that is what i have been taught" , do you?
@MetalGreymon Look you have your opinion and I have mine. I am sorry if you don't like my opinion. If you want to extend this subject matter, post it. You never asked why in your original post. So give up already.

Hey now. Let's not take this personally. I don't have a problem with your opinion, i'm just asking you to back it up.

Do you really need me to start a new thread to ask that in light of your assertion that cannibalism is morally wrong that you explain why this is so?

Is that really necessary? I CAN if it's really important to you.
Or you could just answer the question here, lol

If you don't want to go to the trouble of supporting your position then simply say so. I'm looking for discussion, not an argument.
@MetalGreymon I'm not here for a discussion nor argument. I answered your question and that's that. Thank you, very insightful.

So you don't want me to start a new question about why you think cannibalism is wrong?
