Do you think tattoos make people more intimidating looking?

I'm thinking of getting both arms and neck done, but I was chatting to a friend of mine, I'm 6'2 and weigh 18 stone (no fat, not ripped either, just a big guy) anyway, he told me, in a joking way, that no one would approach us if I added tattoos to that. What are your thoughts?

Not exactly.. situational, some people just look the same, and some look like they might beat the shit out of you lol. either way, you'll still look pretty bad ass :P

@UTD99: absolutely, i've been waiting to get 3/4 sleeves, and haven't done it yet, i've only got 3 tats, i personally would not look like i could kick anyone's ass, but you might lol. i'd just look like a chick covered in tats
