Do you think tattoos make people more intimidating looking?

I'm thinking of getting both arms and neck done, but I was chatting to a friend of mine, I'm 6'2 and weigh 18 stone (no fat, not ripped either, just a big guy) anyway, he told me, in a joking way, that no one would approach us if I added tattoos to that. What are your thoughts?

I think it depends on the view of the individual. Someome might look and feel intimidated by only a few, I'd look and think 'nice' unless you had sleeve and face tatoos and think ugly. I think if anything is taken to execess it just looks a bit ugly

@Fernie: Yes it is relative, I'm a fan of tattoos and piercings but I just think sometimes for me, too much just looks bad. But my too much is someone elses not enough

@UTD99: I would, but someone else would love it, and as long as you do, what I think or anyone else doesn't matter.
