Oh, I understand the flood of PMs that can come when you have an actual pic of yourself up Callme. Plus, when you add a killer sense of humor with it you're gonna attract guys from all walks of life. You're just one of the "lucky" chicks...lol It's just one of the joys of PMing being a feature.

Nah. I think a lot of that is blown out of proportion. I've gotten zero member pics since I've been here, but there are a couple who felt the need to share a little more with me than I considered appropriate. And I've been seduced a couple of times with words, but for the most part my inbox is a happy place.

I get mostly hey/hi so far. Some weird ones. But other than that I've spoken to some nice guys.

I believe that there is *some* part of it that's human nature--attractive people are generally healthy people and that's desirable for partnering and procreation from a biological perspective--but I think a much larger part IS our mass media (and I include the internet in that).

Surprisingly, on this site, so far I've only gotten one. And my profile does have adult content, so I generally expect that there will be some, even though I'm explicit about saying I'm not going to exchange pics--some people just don't listen.

A few other creeps have approached me but I shut them down pretty quick. Most have been okay but boring to chat with. But a few have actually been good, respectful conversationalists.

If we were still on EP, that would've been a whole different story. I was getting well over a dozen a week there, once the changes to accommodate the mobile app went into effect--most as an introductory message.

Based on my experience here, I'd have to conclude that a lot of those complaining women are overstating their case.

@Trysta09...This is social media. Pervy inbox messages have become an expected part of the experience whether we like it or not.
Although I'm rather anti-PM in general, they're not ALL pervy.
Some women would have you think that they can't have ANY type of encounter with a man, either online or in real life, that doesn't have him trying to "get some" from her.
No woman is so desirable that no man can resist her.

one of the surprises about SW compared to EP though was that on this site I seem to get most of the weirder messages from the older blokes! the young men are pretty nice here hahaha

The hardest thing I think I've noticed is complimenting people.

If you say something nice about people, everyone thinks it flirting. Men cant even be nice to one another or women without us being pervs or gays. It's insane.

@lucy maybe it's because it's not that well known of a site yet, and it's just attracted all of the old creeps from EP xD but it's bringing in some nicer young people :) I know on EP the young ones could get a little much lol but I'm really enjoying them here:)

@Trysta09...Unfortunately, I don't think that value system will ever change. Some of my nieces are 2 whole generations away from me and they still talk in terms of "am I pretty enough?"
