fear, plain and simple. some saw one example, and possibly a severe one and decided we were ALL that one case rather than to ask questions, explore or try finding out anything about something that was clearly beyond themselves.

because those who suffer with them fear ridicule or bullying by others if they mention the fact.
but they shouldn't. i reckon everybody suffers from some sort of depression at least once in their lives.

I think that years ago the mentally ill were locked up and treated like outcasts. We still have some of the dark ages thinking.
