I'm both introverted and shy.
I still feel shy around new people to this day but have probably come out of my shell a bit more over the years.

No always
We all wear masks, each of us, every day - and sometimes we wear them for so long that we forget who we really are. And sometimes, if we're lucky, someone comes and shows us who we really want to be, who we should be.

My shyness came from not being secure with who I am.
Introversion is different, you feel depleted around groups of people. So it depends...
