Ribs and most meat attached to the bone. It just grosses me out. I will eat chicken and turkey but it has to be the light meat with no bones in it.

Prawns. I won't eat a giant sea cockroach, I don't care if it tastes like sunlight on a chilly day. At the chinese buffet, my friend Dave kept putting one on my plate. I winged it at him after the 4th time or so.

I can't eat anything with the head on it...omg...makes me sick and that includes fish

Daniel: I don't blame you, I don't eat any form of pork and my Thai friend and I went to a new Asian restaurant she did that to me...she knew better and I felt like throwing it. I think she didn't like the idea that I had only tried the veggie and chicken dishes.

Ynotjenn: licorice flavoring is made from anise seed extract, it has medicinal value, you might have gotten too much of it...just a tiny bit helps to get food digesting.
I'll eat most anything, but I still dislike the flavor of shiitake mushroom.

Liver, that's the one I refused as a child...I called it "dirty meat".

@smiler: I grew up in a culture of extremely bland, overcooked food (seriously, garlic was regarded as exotic and suspicious), so I never acquired any taste for hot food. I could probably endure all the pain of overcoming it eventually, but honestly why bother? I'm not short on food choices.
does the bone gross you out? i have not heard of that.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Firefall: I did too but as I got older I craved spicy foods, I think it was my body's way of telling me I needed those spices...many of them are natural pain-killers and anti-inflammatory, over-the-counter and prescription pain-killers are very hard on my stomach but the spices are good and aid in digestion too.

Black licorice flavored anything.

I don't do bones either. I will eat ribs or steak off a solid bone, but I avoid anything that might land a bone between my teeth. ahaha. grossimus maximus

I blame a long night of Ouzo on a beach in Canada for my current issues with black licorice.
Never.Again.

Duchess: canned sardines are weird for me but fresh ones from a fish market filled with a Moroccan spice-paste called chermoula and then fried are really tasty. I would crave them so much after I came home that I buy canned smoked kippers and eat them.

smiler2012 · 56-60
jjoe01 the shiitake mushroom lol well they do grow in shit in the wild so it is rather an appropriate title for them
smiler2012 · 56-60
