@Neiromatheous: I love snakes too and people think they're gross. The biggest misconception about snakes is that they're slimy and wet. Which does sound nasty. But snakes are dry and smooth and their scales feel rather like linoleum tile to me. They quite like being handled because they are coldblooded and enjoy the body heat of a human.

@Unloved: Why? Snakes are wonderful. They're enjoyable to play with if they're not venomous. The venomous ones are extremely dangerous though. You shouldn't touch them.

@Unloved: Oh no, you're mistaken, only venomous will bite you. Not all snakes have venom, though. Many snakes are what is called a constrictor. Venomous snakes hunt prey by using toxic substances inside their fangs. When they bite someone, they inject poison into them. A constrictor does not bite. They have no fangs and cannot harm you. The only way they can hurt you is if you were to wrap them around your neck because they you could get suffocated. Venomous snakes are not safe to handle. Constrictors on the other hand are much more docile and can be kept as pets. I have one myself.
