@StepDad2: it's expensive and the agent gets a bigger commission. It really depends what your needs are.

@StepDad2: if you are just wanting it to take care of people you leave behind, get Term. If you think you would need to borrow against it down the road, Whole Life can help with that...if I remember right. I haven't been licensed for a while now. Shop around, you will see some decent price differences.

@MarineBob: not sure that is the best option. i thought i was buying mortgage insurance as that was how it was presented to me...nope. just cheap term. get it while you are young as the costs go up tremendously
