Why do men and boys always sit with their legs wide open?

I mean very wide? Come on. Women and girls should NEVER sit with their legs wide open. It's innapeoprate and in unladylike. I guess its okay for males to sit with their legs open but not WIDE. I always sit with legs closed. I'm a woman.

Because they have a penis and testicles and I'm sure it must hurt closing/crossing their legs for a long period of time.

@lilchickennugget23: Doesn't hurt, no, but it does get really uncomfortable. Can hurt if it's done for really extended periods and leads to chafing or (shockingly sharp!) hair catching on things.
