How do you rate Trump's first 99 days?

Tomorrow the entire worlds press will be postulating on his 100 days. So, out of the generosity of my heart, I wanted to open it up to we the people, the minions, the deplorable and the plorable.

:)

How do you think he is doing?

I am undecided between a D and an F. Both of those would be followed by three letters.

Considering that at last count, 98% of major media stories had a negative slant about Trump, and the number of protests against the current administration are at historic numbers, he must be doing something.... If he was actually doing nothing, where would those numbers be.

Only blind followers support any President completely, and only blind partisan hacks oppose any President completely.

An honest assessment would have him rated high in certain efforts - carrying out and working on his campaign promises and poor in other areas. Anyone giving him an A or F is likely one of the two groups of the previous paragraph.

FDR was the first President to bring up his first 100 days and for some reason (probably made for a good media storm on each President since) has continued.

@sunrisehawk: I have read probably 12 books o Clinton, and around 9 or 10 on W. I have also read all of their autobiographies, wives and all. Of course the auto's are biased. I have read a few on Nixon and a few by him, as well as FDR, loads on Lincoln, and a few others. I love history and find the connection between Presidents and economics to be fascinating.

I look forward to reading several on Obama too, both pro and con. I like to make up my own mind, but I do respect differing beliefs. Not to mention even those people I prefer have negatives as well as positives. Like the rest of us do, too.

@CassandraFemale17: Good for you. I've been reading histories and biographies since 1st grade. I tend to delve more deeply in the history that I haven't lived through though. Never will know enough.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@sunrisehawk: mhmm, I agree. But each day is living history.

I wish more people realized that, and embraced learning more about it.

D

He did some of what he said he was going to do so I think he deserves some credit for that, even if it's something I don't agree with. But he also went back on a lot of things he said, the biggest one being that he was going to put America first. If his activities in recent weeks don't show that he's not a man for the people after all then I don't what will.
Carver · 31-35, F
@Fatadmire83: Tell me more.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Fatadmire83: dang..... I am sending your name to Florida real estate agents who can't get rid of swampland on their books. You would buy anything!
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Carver: this should be highly entertaining......
LUVELACE · T
Well for a man who had so many things in his campaign speeches of what he would do to make America great again so far he has fucked up at least by media reports so it remains to be seen
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@LUVELACE: and as long as you keep watching....they keep lying.....
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@LUVELACE: I completely agree.

He really hijacked the GOP party, so he doesn't have a whole lot of loyalty even from within his own party.

As a matter of fact, he plays so unpopularly, it doesn't do Congressmen and women any good to align with him when the public isn't finding him worthy of supporting.

To align with him may cost them dearly in the midterms.

The midterms are no longer 24 months away. They are now less than 19 months away.

If Trump doesn't secure some successes by September the going gets tougher. That is the period Congress pays particular attention to the temperature of their districts, and won't go willingly into the night with Trump. Their own survival instincts kick in.

Basically, having accomplished virtually nothing, ostracizing many, while continuing to make public statement blunders and proposing a tax plan that will greatly enrich himself, there isn't much payoff for anyone to go out publicly to support him.

Nevermind what various investigations may find.

Even though I don't like him, I haven't seen anything that implicates Trump in any knowledge of wrongdoing with Russia.

So there we are. The best thing he has done as President may be his not colluding with Russia.

Nor did any one of our past 44 Prezidents!

But the jury isn't in yet on that.....
LUVELACE · T
@Notanymore: he can't fuck up America any more than it already is,but leave it with him n it might end up becoming an extension of a third world country, because that land of the free n home of the brave is a load of bollox judging by America health n financial problems, what was once a beacon of hope has become a bastion of inequality n racial intolerance n a target for every raghead with a Koran in their hand,so the western world doesn't need smoke blown up its arse about America,we watch what is going on n if trump can turn it around fair play to him,but if not ye bunch of immigrants blown in will still give him the same shit ye have dished out over your 300 yrs history.so give him a chance eh

I am going to give him a b+ doing things that Obama never did , living up to a lot of what he said he would do that I give him credit. Just because he said he would accomplish a lot does not mean their would be no trial and error . For a man that has no political experience yah he has been doing great . People can say he has not done anything is just because they we're expecting some great miracle is just flat out stupid .
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Fatadmire83: he was the one who has said in his own Contract With America that he would accomplish all those things in his first 100 days.

So by your own barometer, he is just plain stupid.

And you are right.
fabbadmire99 · 36-40, M
@CassandraFemale17: it's part of the process he had to sell himself , I would think you would do the same if you were running for president .
Canicu69 · 70-79, M
he has scored 100% in his 100 days. The Democrats tried to destroy our country in the past 8 years and they, the snowflakes, are continuing to destroy everything Trump needs to do to clean up this mess.......President Trump will get his way in the end. He is a business man and not a vote whore. He will get it done.

Looking forward to the next eight years with Trump. Minus 100 days of course
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Canicu69: I understand now why they call it blind optimism

100% for what? He is suffering defeat after defeat.

He does do good rallies though. He won't get votes unless those votes help those in Congress. He doesn't have a clue how to build a coalition.

Compare his first 100 days with practically any former President. He is in the toilet.

But as much as I don't like him personally, I do hope he can turn it around and do positive things for the people of the country and not just for the rich, which so far he seems to be concentrating on.

I wish him well, because if we don't, that bodes ill for the whole country going forward.

I certainly do not wish him a second term though. I haven't lost my mind. One term of The Apprentice is enough. He's FIRED.
Canicu69 · 70-79, M
@CassandraFemale17: LOL I love you....give him a chance and if the dems give him a chance he will be successful. The politicians as we know them have out lived their usefulness.....too much of an ole boy club and they keep getting richer and richer....that is ALL of them from each party, including the independents
firefall · 61-69, M
It's hard to say, he hasn't actually done anything yet.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@firefall: unlike every other President who actually accomplished plenty during their first months in office
The last sentence is priceless! XD
Notanymore · 36-40, M
Fine and dandy? Wait that's 4 letters
Notanymore · 36-40, M
Watching the news won't make anyone more prepared to vote. I refuse to vote because the less of two evils is still evil. Not because of ignorance. The system that presents the choices we had is the real failure and supporters on either side have forgotten that what they see on a commercial news program is in no way the truth. If we had any sense we'd all refuse to vote until we got a viable option for a leader
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Notanymore: I respect your points. Well said
Notanymore · 36-40, M
Thank you. Now hopefully we can get through a few years of this and maybe make us all think about who we put into power
