I read somewhere that men often cheat in an effort to save their relationship - e.g. there's something more that they want and aren't getting so they look to add that and maintain the relationship at the same time (a getting and eating your cake, if you will), but that for women it's usually a strong indication that they're done, given up, had enough.

I personally think that's rubbish but who knows. I just feel the desire for sex is stronger than the desire to commit to a partner in these type of cases.
