The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King.
It is one of King's less known and loved novels, but I loved it. I think it's because the whole mood of it captures the setting of a dark creepy forest perfectly. You feel like you are really there, like you are a little girl lost in the vast wilderness with something hunting you in the dead of the night.
It was seriously frightening.
