We learned that 800 bucks and doing something kind isn't a motivator.
We learned a bit about airline overbooking.
We were reminded that disobeying an airline employee on a plane is a crime.
We learned that United Airlines has ZERO idea how to craft a public message.
We also learned that there are some airport security police who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near situations that require security.

Very good observations. Interesting that first class and business (frequent flyers) are never overbooked.

@Coyotedave611: True. But I guess that's part of the purchase price. A little added protection and exclusion. That's everywhere.

🙃 @Coyotedave611: Neither is Air Force one and no one pays for their tickets or ever gets bumped. Champagne, Caviar, Lobster tails anyone (Take 2 they're little.)
