Why do so many Muslims think blowing things up will help a situation?

like the christians shooting up people when things don't go their way?

gee, who knows.
Christians don't shoot up people yelling "God is great!"
@Ax17x7: Christians are crazy enough already
@jadedgirl: I don't disagree. I just think it's odd that Christians and Christianity get all sorts of hate and criticism, but as soon as someone mentions Islam....#notallmuslims.
@Ax17x7: That's because most Christians stereotype Muslims.
@jadedgirl: And you think Christians don't get stereotyped by Muslims? or pretty much everyone who's not Christian.
@Ax17x7: I didn't say that.
@jadedgirl: Not directly, but you did insinuate a double standard.
@Ax17x7: What do you think of Muslims?
@jadedgirl: I have nothing against Muslims, but Islam should be criticised without fear of repercussion, just as people freely criticise Christianity without repercussion.

For example. Depicting an image of Mohammed does not justify the murder of the people who published the image. Christians don't kill people because they made fun of Jesus.
@Ax17x7: So you think Christianity is the model religion?
@jadedgirl: Absolutely not. Like I said, Christianity is heavily criticised in our society, as it should be. Islam is not, and when it is, there's always someone saying, "well... not all Muslims..."

I'm certainly not against criticism. I'm against the double standard.
@Ax17x7: The double standard? Christians have killed and silenced those who disagreed with their interpretation of the bible. I'm not saying the radical factions of Islam are justified but keep in mind the Crusades. The punks who call themselves Muslims are tarnishing the religion.
@jadedgirl: Yes, I know the Crusades. I also know the Battle of Tours, in 732. Roughly 200km south of Paris and 360 years BEFORE the Crusades, when Charles Martel defeated the Ummyyad Caliphate in battle. The Crusades were a response of hundreds of years of Islamic expansion. Were the Crusades right? Debatable. But remember, Islam wasn't this peaceful culture until the Crusaders came to kill them. Christianity and Islam have been fighting each other since the beginning of Islam. We should not judge one harsher than the other.
@Ax17x7: You think it's debatable whether the Crusades were right or not? If that's your view the same arguments could be made for ISIS. I don't like what ISIS or any groups like it are doing and I can't see any justification for the Crusades.
@jadedgirl: War is often difficult to justify. The Crusades weren't spontaneous. The Byzantium Empire was at war with Islam for hundreds of years and were losing. They needed help, so they pleaded with the West and they got it. Yes atrocities were committed. But it wasn't like some European King woke up one day and said, "You know, I'm going to kill Muslims because I have nothing else to do and I'm bored."
@Ax17x7: I don't need humorous simplification. I know there's a time when war is the only logical step.
