I find that if I'm having one of those days where I'm just feeling angry or sad, but I have to be around people who shouldn't have to deal with MY moods, I smile, and pretend everything is great. Eventually, I realize that I'm not feeling rotten anymore. I have pretended to be in a good mood long enough that I feel much better than I did when I started out.

It's good but not always. Must still stay true to you somehow.

@dark548: I had a business that put me in a position where I was dealing with families. No one needed to be subjected to my mood swings. I learned that if I acted like I was happy, they reacted to me in a positive manner, which made me feel happier, which in turn affected them so we ended up having a great time together.

@Serenitree: 🤔 true, so long as it is not overly done, I suppose.

@dark548: you lost me there. Overly done?

@Serenitree: too over the top. Try too hard.

@dark548: I suppose some people could do that. I simply smiled instead of frowning, and kept my voice pleasant instead of angry or whiny. Not like I pulled out the cane and the top hat and did song and dance routines
