Do you think a man should be able to keep a mistress?

I keep chatting with a 26yo I used to work with. Nothing ever sexual. I think she jokingly called herself my mistress once.

My wife knows I am "in contact" with her but not the frequency.

I've offered myself enough to my wife over the years to know we will never be "a thing" ever again. I think I deserve socialization with the opposite sex.

If you mean by "mistress" a secret girlfriend about whom he lies to his primary significant other, then absolutely not. Honesty is required. But, if the primary partner is okay with it and knows about it, then why not? To each his/her own. C'est la vie.
