I believe it never leaves you...it stays with you and molds your reactions to all things. The "past" is not just a measurement of time.

Hardly just my opinion...far wiser minds than mine like Dickens and Solzhenitsyn thought so, too.

@Abrienda: I agree in that sense. Lessons are learn and now the past doesn't literally effect my life as present and future. I spoke of in this aspect.

@Vitality: Oh I understood you perfectly...but I think it does. Literally...the example of my late father directly impacts me on the kind of man I will marry
