Anybody good at programming?

I'm planning a retro NES-style stealth-action game, I've got plenty of ideas and such for it, and I'm not half bad at sprite art. My issue is I'm no good at actual game-making. I know there's plenty of programs out there to help, but they're all cookie-cutter templates and blueprints that are difficult to alter.
Anybody interested in helping out?

Good stuff, except I am not particularly interested in a NES-style stealth action game. I'd need some passion for it.

You might want to look into the Unity game engine. It seems easy to adapt for designers. But you'd eventually have to code too. But there are great tutorials for that.

Well what sort of other project would you be interested in? I've got a few on the burner right now

I've been working on a 2D space shooter game forever. I really need to finish that. I don't even remember how many unfinished projects I have. =/

@Mordimoux: I'm in the same position, I've only got this stealth game on the brain since I was playing a lot of Metal Gear Solid earlier.

Do you do other computer artwork besides sprites?

I can do some basic graphical art, some low-quality textures, some photoshop. What sort of thing are you looking for?

Right now, I'm just asking out of curiosity. I have never been very good with graphics.

Ah. Well I'm hardly good myself, I just do what I can. I focus mostly on sprites since it's fairly easy work. Limited colour-palettes and size means there's only so much you can do.

Have you made a lot of sprites for your stealth game?

@Mordimoux: I've only recently started properly working on it, so I've only got some basics. This is one I put together yesterday though, ironically enough for a space-shooter

Looks pretty cool. I was worried about spaceship sprites in the beginning. I luckily found something online.

Oh? Mind sharing?

Later. I have to go now.

Whatever you say, mate. Whatever you say.
