That block option sure does come in handy!

If you don't have to put up with it why would you.

Life is too short to be arguing online or be putting up with negativity, drama etc.

True, but on the other hand I like to see opinions different from my own so I continue to learn...some people want to make a bubble where everyone agrees with them, that can be unhealthy I think.

Yeah ofcourse different opinions should be welcomed. They are welcomed as long as they are educated well thought out/constructive and not hate filled or ignorant. Some of these opinions have the purpose of stroking egos (wining) rather than actually discussing things.

If someone: generalizes, uses excessive vulgarity, makes personal attacks, or is incentive to the serious posts they should be blocked by me.

@dark548: sometimes we have a responsibility to challenge less well thought out opinions with fact and logic, not everyone will listen but occasionally you might change a point of view, it happens.

Some posts are mean to be funny and others serious. Some people need to learn the difference and adjust accordingly.

It's a great thing that SW allows anyone to post anything and they should continue to do so. I'm just tailoring my own experience 👍

@Kuronekko: ehh too much work and some of these people don't want to be changed, one should have better things to do.

@dark548: Well jokes can be misconstrued very easily here as you can't hear tone so that's difficult to know a lot of the time.

@Kuronekko: yeah which is why I mostly block people where I see a consistent pattern on posts and responses not just a one time comment.

There is this guy I don't agree with but he has other posts where he really tries to be constructive so I still keep him around.

@dark548: People can be very different from what their posts suggest..most people come here to be dicks bc they are hurt, I try to remember that before taking anything they say personally..it helps.

@Kuronekko: yeah but they should know better. They are adults, atleast I hope they are. There are many people here who are hurt and don't resort to that type of negativity so...I don't see it as much of an excuse.

I've just put up with it long enough, I had the same mind frame as you do right now.

@dark548: age really doesn't come into it when you have a bunch of pain in your life, it's not an excuse, just an explanation. Not everyone is so introspective that they know how to help themselves unfortunately.
