Men I have a question about work boots...

I want to buy my husband a new pair of workboots.
I need them to be soft toe, and not too heavy (preferably lightweight) (at least 6" boots)
They discontinued the Red Wings and the Nike work boots he used to buy and were having trouble looking for something comfortable that he'll be wearing for a long hard days work.

I'm a pretty serious backpacker and when the sole goes on boots, and I don't want them resoled, I'll wear them around. NO more comfortable boots than good hiking boots. That said, most hiking boots will have a rand over the toe. Not steel toed like work boots but they pretty much all have them.
BTW...if he liked the Red Wings they also own an excellent hiking boot brand called Vasque.

Do you have a "Chuck's boots" near you?

Never heard of it, but I'll google it to see if there is.

Kinda weird to see Red Wing discontinue something - they don't do a lot of 'next big thing' stuff. Tend to stay with stand-bys and tradition.

The Irish Setter line might have something he likes?

I was showing them to him but he's undecided- and he's we were both shocked lol

I'd kinda wander back and forth between Irish Setter & Red Wing - even before Red Wing bought them. Pretty comparable - price & quality.

You only get one pair of feet.

@Traubi: thanks I'm looking on Amazon now
timberland 6 inch boots
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
They're heavy
If there's no legal requirement ( mine have to be steel capped) I'd just wear sand shoes.. For comfort..
My feet are shithouse after 25 years of work boots

Sand shoes?
No he doesn't require steel toe, he does interior construction- mostly focused on bathroom and kitchen remodels
@Tristemuneca: sandshoes.. go for comfort. his feet will appreciate it
