Relative to the population,they probably are a minority, however, it is trending more than ever specially in countries like Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan as compared to the gulf area and amongst the younger population as compared to the older one. It is difficult to measure it though because in Arab countries it is considered a crime that its punishment could reach as high as capital punishment, regardless, people are getting more vocal about it, more than ever, I think the Arab spring, or let's call it the Arab autumn helped with this.
