Happy people are hideously annoying.

Not all, but the positive thinking advocates often do just that. When your "happiness" or "positivity" or whatever is so fragile that you have to actively avoid anything sad, morose, depressing, or whatever else, then you kind of have to know it's a facade on some level.

You didn't say why.

@Kimmler: and maybe the ones that aren't happy are doing that as well.
The incessant bright, cheeriness starts to feel vapid and airheaded after even minimal exposure.

@IvanKaramazov: who's avoiding the negative.
Justpeaceandlove · 61-69, F
@IvanKaramazov: there may be truth to that at first. Is that what happens to you?
I'm having trouble figuring out what your question is exactly in reference to. Could you rephrase your question to be more explicit?
Magenta · F
I can not disagree with Ivan. There is some truth there I think. If a person is truly "happy" they don't have to prove it and make a show of it. The over the top acting happy, comes across as put on.

@IvanKaramazov: what would make it clear to you?
Justpeaceandlove · 61-69, F
@Magenta: actually no one had to 'do' anything. It's a part of life. :)
Just tell me what it is exactly that you want to know.
Magenta · F
Justpeaceandlove: Ok. I get that. I just prefer natural, which sometimes includes a human acting sad or blue or angry or some other facet of their being. We shouldn't suppress our natural feelings and emotions and pretend over positive happiness, IF we aren't. :-)

@IvanKaramazov: I don't want to 'know' anything.

@Magenta: okay :)
