Do you stand a chance walking in high winds?

It's bad here too, motorway shut, trees everywhere, traffic lights out. And to top it all off its bin day! Chaos lol

I have a low centre of gravity so I should be ok, the fences I can see out of the window though, they're not doing so well...

it was crazy on my run today very very windy.

I weigh about 220lb., but have a friend who is under 150lb. We were running across the quadrangle at school into a heavy wind, when I turned & saw that he was about 30 yards behind me and making very little headway.

Stay inside.

I was sent flying into my bins this morning by a huge gust of wind. Luckily there were no injuries.

well, i wear a heavy back pack, that helps me stick to the ground.

funny story, last week we had a big gust come through... 50mph winds and higher... my wife who walks to the metro a MILE to that is.. she has lung cancer, it spread to her femur... she walked against that wind monday and was all like "oh, that was exhilarating, fresh air cures your ails." i love her spirit.

it did wear her out though.

(biggest gust we had from that passage was 90mph, we were without a landline phone for 2 days, scary when you have someone sick at home.)

I have that problem at times too.

I do get thrown around in the winds here lately

It's only a bit of wind.. blew over a couple of wheelie bins.

Can't walk but it's hard work pushing my chair in it
