Guys: would you leave a job field just because there's a lot of females in it

This guy in my class said if there's a lot of girls in graphic design like their is in our class he was going to leave the field because he can't stand it.

For some reason he thinks the girls are acting like they live in a fairytale. If he means we work hard, learn, and come to class prepared doesn't sound that bad.

Guess he's intimidated

Just curious, but please cite the fairy tales you've read that you think he's referencing where the female character works hard, learns and comes prepared.

He's being insulting, dear. Most fairy tales portray the "damsel in distress", who is chaste and pure, in waaaaay over her head, and awaiting a Prince or Woodsman to come and save the day and provide a happily ever after by sweeping them off their feet and marrying them, taking care of them forever more as a kept woman.

Yes I know that my point with that statement is that there was no fairytale

You missed The point

No, YOU don't get it. There's PLENTY of fairy tales.

He's saying the girls in the class are looking for someone to come save them...! To fix their problems...! He's saying they are acting helpless...!

@GwydionFrost: I am saying that the girls we not acting that way. All we were doing was discussing logo design. We work hard, learn, and come to class prepared.

I'm not saying it is true... I'm just saying that might be HIS excuse...!

@GwydionFrost: So I see you are a guy just like him.

@Nonexistent: Let me see if I got this straight. I look at his illogical statement from the facts you give, point out the possible reasoning he's giving, using logic, of how his statement could POSSIBLY make some sort of coherent thought process, all the while I am not agreeing with his assessment, WHICH I CLEARLY STATE, and your response is to try to insult me using my gender as if that is something detestable...?

No, I think YOU and HE have FAR MORE IN COMMON, than either one of you have with me.

Perhaps you should take a few moments, before you condemn me of being a sexist pig and READ THE STORIES ON MY PAGE.

@GwydionFrost: Well you said that the girls acting like damsels might be his excuse. You made it seem like you agreed with him. Maybe you need to learn how to explain yourself better.

@Nonexistent: HIS excuse. Yep. Clear as a bell. HIS. Not mine. Not even "reason". It says EXCUSE. Not justification.
