I remember them hijacking airplanes way back in the 60's when i was a kid. But as I said, I was just a kid so they could have been doing stuff for ages.

Ok that's fine...and have there been any hickjacking of planes before that? Because you might be right and we should look at all the hickjacking of planes and find out of the religious belief of all of those people.
You are probably right the 60's was a very religious time.. they must have been breeding them for a while,a sure it got nothing to do with individual problems in life or mental illness etc. it was because of Islam alone 👍🏽

I think history shows us they have been "radicalized" for thousands of years but you asked about more recent times. I can;t swear but i believe there were hijackings in the 50's too. There were a very tiny minority of hijackings done by non-islamists but they were by and large from the middle east and their beef was, according to one movie I watched on a specific hijacking, our support of Israel. Hatred for Israelis (Jews) goes back thousands of years and the 1948 UN creation of an Israeli state seems to have really pissed them off. Never mind that a nut job tried to wipe out the entire Jewish race.
