Vampires are badder, not the beautiful ones so popular in today's movies / TV. Or glorified by the goth kids and pretty people of today. Vampires arent pretty, handsome, gorgeous, desired or invited.
True badass was Nosferatu (see 1922 images and movie), he could kick all the sparkly wannabees today. He was hideous, horrific and was death incarnate. He was the alpha hunter and about himself only.

But old: sucked you dry if they want to which is most of the time.
