Over $2000.00 deposited in a paypal account from people I hadn't seen or (in most cases) actually spoken to in 25 years to pay for legal fees for a divorce attorney in a child custody battle in less than 10 hours from my cry for help...?

I'd have to say that qualifies as help, and a resounding YES.

Yes. Definitely. There was a time when I was going through a really bad time with a family member. I feared for her life. If it hadn't been for a few steadfast online friends, I may have lost my mind. Somethings you cannot share with family or personal friends, because they try to tell you how you should feel, what you must do. My online friends let me rant and vent and just kind of held my hand; stroked my hair. Soothed me without criticizing or enabling.

Yes. Absolutely and repeatedly. I have met some wonderful and when needed supportive people. When I first arrived online I met someone who I refer to as "one of the king's men" who helped put Chrye back together again. I would have healed on my own. He just eased the process, and made a much more thorough job of it. And when there weren't tears, there was much laughter. And he taught me online safety. There have been more since. No less in significance. All making my life better and so much richer. I count myself very lucky.

Yes. I was having problems fixing my truck. It took about a week of trying different things. But, I finally got it fixed!!

I wouldn't say make my life better but this person has defiently given me the emotional support that I needed and wasn't getting.

yes, when i get answers to questions on here or in other answersites, one site that really helps me is healthtap. i can ask medical questions and then a real doctor will email me back, i love that site

Absolutely. "Helped" is putting it mildly. I think I'm still here because of some of the friendships made online.
