Over $2000.00 deposited in a paypal account from people I hadn't seen or (in most cases) actually spoken to in 25 years to pay for legal fees for a divorce attorney in a child custody battle in less than 10 hours from my cry for help...?

I'd have to say that qualifies as help, and a resounding YES.

@NewKidInTown: That online community was primarily my old high school classmates! (I explained to the lawyer exactly where her money came from, just so she could understand what kind of person she was representing in this case... because people doing something like that speaks well of how that person is regarded by their peers!)
