No. WWI, WWII, Great Depression, the Holocaust, Communism, Fascism, etc., have nothing to do with religion. That's true of the vast majority of wars and violence throughout history (yes there are exceptions like the Thirty Years War, but they are exceptions). If anything and with one notable exception, religion has been a restraining, moderating force, standing against the root causes of all problems we face.

@SW-UserHolocaust and Fascism is an offshort of religion. The religious leaders want all comforts of life. They want money and survival, so they inject fanaticism into religion and hate rated towards other religion.

@Alexsw The Holocaust and Fascism were secular, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, racist yes, but hardly religious. To call them offshoots of religion is to make nonsense of the claim. So anything you see as a root cause of all problems you call religion, whether it has any connection to it or not? Like Communism, which has killed far more innocent people than any other movement or all others combined? How is religion at the root cause of communism, rather than atheism, which removes all constraints on behavior if the end justifies the means? If there is no God, anything is permitted, as the 20th century proved all too clearly. And you dare to blame religion?
