My answer has to be ambiguous. Either nowhere or everywhere. I can't narrow it down any more than that.

quite acceptable

@Fernie: What I truly hope for is that our minds and the minds of other beings do not just cease to exist. That just seems to be such a terrible waste.

Earlier today I held my cat in my arms while her heart stopped beating at the veterinarian's rooms. It is a bit shit to think that her mind is now just oblivion. She persevered for 19 yrs. If I could see her and all the other animals who have been a part of my life when I die then that would be great.

@Wraithorn: I am SO sorry you lost your girl. My cat Rosie died while I was carrying her around on my shoulder. She suddenly felt much lighter on my shoulder and I knew she was gone. Something happened there. It only makes sense to me that our life energy never dies but ends up somewhere else. The consciousness, memories from before...I don't know..maybe that Deja vu stuff is snippets of our past experience. It would be great though if we could see our loved ones and pets again
