How do you think our world would progress if we were egg layers like lizards or birds instead of the classical mammal route?

caPnAhab · 26-30, M
I suppose I would've developed a stronger neck, having to break out of my shell
popmol · 22-25, M
@caPnAhab unlike birds we do not have beaks and i think more likely that our nails would get harder or very thin eggs
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@popmol maybe you're right....

But if we come out of a shell, why not have a beak too?
popmol · 22-25, M
@caPnAhab well i wondered more how society would change with a egg laying species less than how we'd evolve to break out of the egg, maybe as a social species we evolved for others to take us out :p

based on an egg hatching once in 9 months , it would be the same as this world , we would tolerate heat more and probably be able to hibernate , hmmm probably walk faster and climb walls too !
popmol · 22-25, M
@ihurtmychin way better!

I think we’d mature much faster...kicked out the nest, 😆
popmol · 22-25, M
@Wiseacre well most likely!
DDonde · 31-35, M
That'd be pretty freaky
popmol · 22-25, M
@DDonde haha why?
DDonde · 31-35, M
@popmol I got stuck thinking about how exactly egg fertilization would work with external eggs.
And then I got into looking up how chickens mate
I still think it would be freaky
popmol · 22-25, M
@DDonde haha can also be like snakes, we'll all just lie on a pie and wriggle around until its done :p
and the turtle is like us
Tell you one thing. Maternity leave would look different.

@LordShadowfire definitely also dads could do it
