Why do people love latinas so much? I’m jealous of them.

When Latina girls embrace their Hispanic roots and proudly talk about how Latino shows and heros means a lot of them, I get jealous. I mean the culture is beautiful and I wish I was Latina. I’m jealous of Jenna Ortega because she’s a beautiful Latina and she always brags about how proud she is of being a Latina. Same with Camilla Cabello. My two former best friends are Hispanic and I’ve always been jealous of their Hispanic roots and culture. I’m just plain old white and we have no culture. I know my grandpa on my dad side has Irish and German decent, grandma had polish, English and Turkish decent and my moms side I don’t know much. My grandma (moms mom) who I live with, also has Russian roots in her. Grandpa has Scottish roots.

Bro what 💀💀 not a white person complaining that they aren't an underprivileged race lmao. And literally all of the places you listed have culture. Did you even bother to look up their histories before complaining lol? Ireland, especially, has a LOT of culture, and many Irish people embrace it and are proud of it. This is such a silly thing to be upset over. Instead, be glad you don't have to face the discrimination that so many Hispanic people face DAILY just because you "think it would be cool" to be them smh

@LaylaTheTallGirl And that's exactly what I'm saying. You can't take criticism. Therefore you could not handle what minorites face. You just proved my point.
I see no use in continuing this conversation, anyway, since it's an impossible circumstance, anyway. You will never be Latina, so my best advice to you would be to embrace what you are and stop always being upset over what you aren't.
Have a nice day.

@LaylaTheTallGirl You just proved her point, though? She criticized you/gave feedback, and you didn't take it well. How would you be able to handle blatant discrimination that minorities face if you can't even handle criticism about that? You struggle to deal with the criticism you face as a non-minority, as is. It's not rude to say you wouldn;t be able to handle facing oppression- because nobody should have to. But the fact of it is, it would not work well with who you are as a person. You are the race that you are, that won;t change, and there is no point in being upset over it. Be grateful for what you have- one of which is a life without systematic oppression.

@BohemianBabe Don’t talk to me that way. Yes Germany is really cool and all that but it’s something about the Hispanic culture I really love and I’m so jealous of Latinas.

@badminton That’s what I mean! She is gorgeous and they have traditions but I’m just plain old boring white.

@LaylaTheTallGirl Are all white people boring? Not all of them, I've met a few interesting ones. Can people of any color or creed potentially be boring ? I think they can. Maybe we should strive not to be boring, regardless of our skin color. Maybe we can start by looking up some great artists, scientists, writers, poets, musicians, intellectuals.
I’m just plain old white and we have no culture.

Fuck outta here! There are so many awesome white cultures.
I'm super thankful that my parents, who grew up in Germany, raised me to be bilingual, just because there's so much fantastic german-language music.
