What do you do when you tell people your not joining Xmas this year but they still book you a restaurant table for Xmas day?

Well, for you? I'd say show up in a kilt with a 6ft Claymore yelling "There can only be one!" whilst swinging your sword wildly at the waitstaff. You'll never be invited again...

Yes, I based that entire response off of your image and username. But...It'll work, I guarantee it. :) Highlander and Braveheart for the win.

@madscottish: If you have a PC btw. its free to donwload from Ubisoft right now

@madscottish: Damn......No I have a crummy laptop. I'm just a console peasant.

@LeonRedfield: Make a ubisoft account and grab it anyway while you can. just in case you get a pc in the future! never know. i always get free game codes when they are given out even when i dont own the system for them. its always a "just in case" moment.

I'm not doing Xmas this year, but my family is a long way away and my friends understand, you said no so don't feel any guilt, they asked you and you said no. If there's a reason, and I don't need to know that, obviously that makes it easier with family, but you said no

There would be guilt for many different reasons other than money. It's my grand mother who set the tables. Shes coming late 90's so i dunno how many more Xmas's she will be around. But at the same time i'm also a full time carer / Parent figure to someone who cannot eat orally. has to be fed by a feeding tube. so at same time i cant really take her out there with us while we all eat and she being unable to do the same. id feel guilt there as well. its a tough one to figure out.. i'm not good with these situations at all

@madscottish: Me neither, two years ago tomorrow my gran died, she brought me up, I loved her more than any human, even though she had dementia she was calling for me in the days leading up to her dying, I couldn't go because of responsibility's at home, kills me every day but wouldn't make a different decision even now. You're not leaving one person alone if you don't go, but if you go you might, that's all I've got sorry

I'd feel guilt for their money waste. But at same time they the ones who booked it when I said no. So guess it's on them. Ahh damn family

Go anyway and use your reservation for a private table instead. Then eat and enjoy.

Haha. Good idea but I technically can't go out. At same time I don't want their money wasted. But I guess that's their problem since they ignored when I said I'm not joining and booked anyway
