Anhedonia is one tough challenge to deal with lately

I want out.

Dealing with anhedonia is like wasting time that I could be living life but instead I just lay in bed doing barely nothing because I can't seem to enjoy much of anything.
Try to find even one thing that is enjoyable.
For instance, what does it feel like to take a shower with the water temperature just right?
If the weather is good, how does it feel to step outside and take long, slow, deep breaths of fresh air?
Then look for other things that are both enjoyable and healthy. Is there a kind of fruit that you enjoy the flavour of? How about tea or coffee?
Have you tried petting a friendly dog lately?
How about distraction; tv, youtube, etc?
How about forcing yourself to get out for a half hour walk once a day?

Laying in bed helps the body to lose fitness, atrophy and slip downhill. It's an excellent way to deepen a depression.

Isn't this something that only last for a short time, like hours or days? There is treatment. Be thankful you aren't physically paralysed as some people are and learn to deal with it as others do.

@cyberdude28 I understand it perfectly from someone close with this experience and I am not criticising or invalidating you at all.
But instead of talking about it on here, isn't the best thing to do is to seek your doctor's help or another professional?

@cyberdude28 I know. And he needs to talk to a professional.

@Padfoot yeah perhaps I could seek professional help and I think I maybe I spoke a little to aggressively to you so I apologize. I apologize to you because your last two comments seem pretty nice of you actually.

If anything now I want to thank you because your comment got a reaction out of me which got me feeling something enough for me to jump start my emotions again. I know it's kinda odd like that.

Sometimes a little tough love is what people need to kickstart them on a different path.
