I am officially on my 3rd day with no cigarettes or nicotine. I was trying before, but kept fumbling. Some how nowthough I have managed to make it to

day 3. I want a cigarette pretty bad and it's only the morning. Maybe at work I can forget I want a cigarette and get lost in the work.

Great for you! Two techniques I used in 1984 when quitting cold turkey from three packs/day:

1. Change all smoking related associations. I had never smoked in bed so I was in bed as much as possible. I smoked drinking coffee and booze so I switched to water and Oj for six month. I had smoked in the car so I drove a car I had never smoked in for 6 months. Dry cleaned every clothing item that smelled like cigarettes. Never going to bars or any place people smoked for six months

2. Told myself that if I smoked I would have wasted the two hours I had tortured by myself not smoking. Then it was telling myself it was a day, then two days, then a week, then a month, then a year, etc. I knew I wasn’t going to smoke my entire like so I told myself if I did smoke one cigarette I would have to go through the torture process again.

@jackjjackson I just want to stand outside and smoke a cigarette while enjoying the fresh air. Maybe I should go hiking this winter… 🤔

So what you need is a replacement for that. How about standing outside in a non smoking area talking with a good looking smart funny woman? @MrAboo

@jackjjackson I’m terrible at talking to women
@MrAboo I found that camping helped. 1 day hike into the hills, 2 smokes with my morning coffee on the first day and tossing the rest into the fire, and two weeks fishing and running around the woods.😆 It's easier if they aren't available.

@UnderLockDown I broke down and bought a pack, but I can’t finish a whole cigarette. I’m not about to go back though.

Ask one how she is enjoying the weather. @MrAboo
