Why do kids seem scared of me or frown? Is it because of my height?
When I first worked with kids, most were afraid of me. Like I overheard some kids saying, “Daddy is she a giant.”
I took that personally because it hurt me. I mean I’ve always been tall for my age. I was thin but when I gain weight during puberty, I gained so much weight. Now at 5’11” 3/4, large built and 252lbs. I get stares and smaller people get scared looks. Even tiny petite women give me looks and walk away.
My older half sister who is only 5’2 1/2 and smaller built some kids aren’t afraid of her but intimidated because of her strong nature but she’s kind and loving.
