Did any of you ever try to lucid dream?

@MartinTheFirst there are a couple like, not trying to relieve old memories or trying to murder somebody. But the biggest one that pretty much every article mentioned, was to not look in a mirror. Because it's usually scary shit u see there. Raging from uneasy feeling, to nightmare type stuff.

@Dan193 Oooh I see, well I've looked in mirrors before and while it sounds scary and your mind conjures up something scary you're ready for it because.. well.. you know you will imagine what is scary because you're thinking of it, and what you think of you see happen.

@MartinTheFirst no, there was ppl saying they lucid dreamed for the first time and without knowing when to look in the mirror... and basically they lost control of the dream and it turned into a nightmare. I think it's a common thing rhat happens to ppl.

@Dan193 ooh I see so they lose the lucid dreaming part and just go back to experiencing the dream. Well yeah I agree with that.

@MartinTheFirst yep. Also some ppl that are really good at lucid dreaming, they have a set of actions they do, to see if they are in a dream, like holding their breath or trying to read, but they got so good at it, that even that becomes vivid. So that person said that sometimes he has to resort to mirrors to make sure he is dreaming, even thought he knows he'll probably see some messed up stuff.

So I guess in a way, you can develop resistance to it, just like to drugs or cigarettes and alcohol.

@Dan193 A few nights ago i dreamt about reading, but i was dreaming that I was reading a very poorly misspelled text in the first place, so it seemed realistic lol.

@MartinTheFirst I have dreams of that too. Weird because I never read books irl, but there I seem to pick it up and start reading everytime I see one.
And I mqnage to read a sentence that devolves more and more in unintelligible words and ai wake up.

@MartinTheFirst no, just sad syringe. Also weirdest shit happened. The dude was apparently an university teacher, so he invited some of his students to assist.
I had my eyes closed while he was applying the anesthesia, then when I open them, there are like 9 ppl in front of me watching 👹 I litterily WTFed in my mind.

@MartinTheFirst yeah I know. But whatever, I wouldn't've minded, it helps the students to get better. Plus I got a professor to work on me. Dude had tons of experience, so I'll take it. But yeah, still bad manners.
