Have you ever started to lose friends after you started to find happiness?

I've noticed that in the recent months where I've been happier and the happiest I've been in a long time. The people around me seem to be contacting me less and less.
Maybe I'm just being weird but one friend in particular I used to speak with every day and I've had a text message 3 days ago to say they couldn't talk and that's it!

There are some people who only want to talk about negative things in their life such as their job…when they want to have lunch they’ll sit there and complain the whole time and they get damned jealous when good things happen to you….in fact when you talk about it (not bragging just telling) they’ll get a look on their face and change the subject. That crap gets old in a hurry.

@cherokeepatti I avoid Facebook and all those social media pages for friends and family...business yes... Art yes.... That's it.

@Mellowgirl I don’t interact with them. I like the humor pages & some other ones. I do monitor what my sister posts because she tends to slander individuals and businesses. She was calling her doctors quacks a couple weeks ago after having an angiogram. It came back OK and she had been complaining of being short of breath if she walked. So call the doctor a quack for recommending the test eh?

@cherokeepatti hopefully they saw that...

I don't have any friends. Simply because real life so called friends talk to you only if they need you. Harsh reality of the world today. I am speaking basis my experiences so far.

Lucky are those who have friends who really value friendship.

My friends are TV, Laptop, Play-Station and Smartphone.😁

Maybe the friend dynamic was of you both talking about your unhappiness and now since you are happy the dynamic has changed.

@JimboSaturn tbh I've always been "doing" things... But I lose motivation. That's not changed but since I got doggy I don't have the time to think "oh my" which is a good thing.
I prefer my life I've always wanted a little shadow.

I have never had friends. Just family and acquaintances and I got by with a little help from them instead.
