I drink almond milk and it’s about the same price. Do what I have to do. I have calcium supplements and have stocked up on groceries, vitamins & other supplements that can help in case of shortages.

Don't forget vegetable proteins, like dried beans. Supposedly, when they are combined with corn they form a complete protein. Eggs are another underutilized protein. Refried beans are a poverty food and protein source for many people.

You will find cheaper alternatives to milk, such as powdered milk, which is very cheap. It can be used in baking and in macaroni and cheese and so on. No need to waste the good tasting milk when the cheap nasty tasting milk powder will do.

Prices have risen here in the states as well and being plant-based I live off a very simple supply of bread, pasta, plant milk, fruits and veggies
