Yes I think most of them were imported (invited) by the previous mayor who was hell-bent on destroying this city. She told the police to stand down in regard to the camp in a city nature park where meth addicts congregated, and this went on for two years. There is a nearby Walmart and they’ll come there and wreak some havoc besides the other things they do to residential areas.

Homeless really don't want others to know. I know because I have been there many times and in small communities.

I use to park outside a tiny community population 200 in Texas. Yet was 30 minutes from a big city. No one knew.

Yes...many of them are in a local homeless shelter for families with children, but Miles Standish State park is a place in which some homeless choose to camp during early summer through late fall. Because we are in the north, it is too cold for tent camping year round.

There's enough to fill the homeless shelters and still have some living on the streets. It's more noticeable when winter comes around... you'll see people with backpacks and blankets. I was really surprised and saddened when I started seeing this....and I still am.
