How do you make friends as an adult?

I had to join a class. I was really lonely in my 30s after loss of a parent and a dissolved relatnsp so I started taking a language class. I tried going back to church but that didn’t work it just made me even more sad.

Yes. It was several years ago. We sat next to each other in class just by chance and then we started to get together on our own to practice the language and have coffee. Her mom just died so I can relate to her well now and offer her some support. @Dan193

@Dan193 yeah you’re welcome. We also made friends with one of our teachers but he got a bit creepy after awhile. It was like he had a crush on me which is flattering (normally) but he was married with older kids at home and it was super awkward so we stopped inviting him along. My friend felt like he would only talk to me and not her as much which was kind of true.
